Lead safe, hands-on commercial operations on the iconic and ultra-capable DHC-6 Twin Otter. • Plan and execute flights across varied environments, including short-field and utility operations appropriate to the Twin Otter’s capabilities.
  • Lead from the left seat as PIC, modelling a just culture, professional airmanship, and decisive operational judgement.
  • Partner with dispatch, engineering, and ground teams to deliver punctual, reliable operations and efficient turnarounds.
  • Support training and mentoring within a close-knit crew environment.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • License: Current UK CAA ATPL
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4+
  • Experience: Multi-crew airline background with prior turboprop or regional operations
  • Type rating: Not required — training provided (NTR applicants welcome)

🌟 Ideal experience (nice to have)

  • Previous or current experience on light multi-engine utility types such as King Air, Shorts, or BN-2 Islander.
  • Turboprop time in regional airliners such as Saab 340, EMB-120, ATR, or Dash 8.
  • Past exposure to Twin Otter operations or comparable STOL environments.
  • Airbus or Boeing pilots with earlier-career turboprop/short-haul regional experience seeking a return to versatile, hands-on flying.

Preferred: Previous Twin Otter time — whether current or earlier in your career — will be an advantage.

🚀 Training and development

  • Comprehensive type-specific ground school and simulator/aircraft training.
  • Structured line training and mentoring to build confidence in short-field and utility operations.
  • Ongoing proficiency checks and recurrent training under UK CAA standards.
