🧭 Role overview

In this pivotal role, you’ll serve as a subject-matter expert on the 787 flight deck, supporting operations, training, safety, and compliance. You will partner with Flight Ops leadership, Training, Dispatch, Maintenance, and OEM/regulatory counterparts to ensure procedures are robust, data-driven, and pilot-friendly.

  • Develop, review, and refine SOPs, operating policies, and technical publications for 787 operations.
  • Support training syllabi, simulator scenarios, and checking standards; provide technical guidance to instructors and line pilots.
  • Analyze operational data to recommend improvements in safety, reliability, and on-time performance.
  • Collaborate on performance, weight and balance, MEL/CDL interpretation, and dispatch feasibility for complex operations.
  • Contribute to EFB content, performance tools, and flight deck usability initiatives.
  • Liaise with OEMs and regulatory bodies on technical issues, compliance, and best practices.

🧰 Minimum qualifications

  • Total Time: 3,000+ hours
  • Type Rating: Current Boeing 787 or 777 type rating (Type-Rated role)
  • Flight Experience: Proven experience flying transport category aircraft
  • Licenses: CPL, IR, ME
  • Medical: Class 2
  • Language: ICAO ELP Level 4
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Tech Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • License Holders: Open to FAA and ICAO

🌟 Preferred experience

  • Instructor, Check Pilot, or FAR 121 line experience on Boeing aircraft
  • Demonstrated involvement in SOP development, manuals, or performance engineering support
  • Experience with EFB ecosystem, data analysis, and safety/quality programs
  • Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
