Lead Captain — Gulfstream V (Worldwide Operations)

✈️ The mission

As Lead Captain, you will command a Gulfstream V in a high-touch, UHNW environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and discreet operations across international airspace. You’ll pair technical precision with elevated service to meet exacting client expectations, upholding the highest standards of professionalism at every stage of flight.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Captain the Gulfstream V on complex, global missions within 14 CFR Part 91 or 135 environments, ensuring full compliance with 14 CFR Part 91 and ICAO standards.
• Lead comprehensive preflight planning: performance, weight and balance, fuel strategy, alternates, international procedures, and overflight/landing permissions as applicable.
• Continuously assess meteorology and evolving conditions to inform safe, efficient go/no-go decisions and route optimization.
• Deliver a refined, confidential, and anticipatory onboard experience aligned with UHNW client service expectations.
• Model and enforce SOPs, safety culture, and checklist discipline; mentor crewmembers and coordinate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, and ground providers.
• Maintain exemplary relationships with the FAA and aviation training organizations; complete recurrent training and checking on schedule.
• Remain on-call for short-notice missions and be prepared to be wheels-up within 3 hours of first call.
• Conduct exterior inspections, towing coordination, and ramp operations in variable weather (heat, cold, rain) when required.

🧰 What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Aviation, Safety, Operations Management, or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of the Gulfstream V systems and performance, client service protocols, CFRs, ICAO standards, international regulatory nuances, and meteorological science.
• Previous experience operating in Part 91 or 135 flight departments with a thorough understanding of 14 CFR Part 91 and ICAO standards.
• An unmarred track record of excellent working relationships with the FAA and aviation training providers.
• Strong technical aptitude, impeccable interpersonal skills, and proven leadership in dynamic, global operations.
• Flexibility to work nights, split days off, weekends, and holidays in a 24×7 environment; ability to respond to on-demand, unscheduled trips.
• Comfort working outdoors during pre/post-flight activities in varied weather conditions.

• Total time: 7,500 hours
• PIC time: 3,500 hours
• Turbine: 3,500 hours
• Large-cabin corporate: 1,500 hours
• Experience: 10+ years of successful PIC service in UHNW, dynamic, global, white-glove environments
• Type rating: Required
• Preferred time: G650 Type Rating
• License required: ATP
• Accepted licenses: FAA
• Medical: Class 1
