Harbour Air is seeking an experienced, safety- and service-focused seaplane pilot to captain DHC-3T Turbine Otter aircraft based in Vancouver, operating scheduled and charter flights throughout the Southern British Columbia coastal regions.

✈️ The mission

Deliver safe, reliable, and memorable seaplane experiences across the stunning BC coast. As Captain, you’ll set the tone for operational excellence and exceptional guest service while navigating dynamic coastal weather and water operations.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Captain the DHC-3T Turbine Otter on scheduled and charter seaplane services within Southern BC coastal routes.
  • Execute precise water operations including docking, beaching, mooring, ramping, and confined-area maneuvering.
  • Conduct thorough preflight planning: weather/NOTAM review, fuel management, weight and balance, performance, and route selection.
  • Provide hospitality-level customer service: greet and brief passengers, assist with baggage and boarding, and ensure a smooth, friendly experience.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatch, dock crews, and fellow pilots to maintain safe and on-time operations.
  • Adhere to company SOPs and Transport Canada regulations; maintain accurate logs, reports, and safety documentation.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and SMS practices through proactive reporting and continuous improvement.

🌟 Minimum qualifications

  • PIC: 1,000 hours minimum
  • Float time: 750 hours minimum
  • License: TCCA CPL with valid Float Rating
  • Medical: Class 1 (Transport Canada)
  • ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
  • Type Rating: DHC-3T not required; training provided
  • Visa sponsorship: Not provided (must have current authorization to work in Canada)

🎯 Preferred experience

  • DHC-3T time and familiarity with the Turbine Otter.
  • Coastal seaplane operations experience in British Columbia.

Based in Vancouver, you’ll operate scheduled and charter services throughout the Southern British Columbia coastal regions, connecting waterfront communities and iconic destinations.
