Western Aircraft, Inc., one of the largest aircraft services companies in the Western United States, is hiring Pilot in Command professionals for its Honolulu, Hawai‘i base to operate meticulously maintained Pilatus PC‑12‑47E aircraft under Part 135. This is a permanent, non‑type‑rated (training provided) opportunity to fly meaningful inter‑island missions while representing a highly respected flight operation.
🧭 Role overview
As a PC‑12 Captain based in Honolulu, you’ll lead safe, efficient inter‑island operations, deliver exceptional passenger care, and uphold Western Aircraft’s high standards of professionalism. You’ll join a tight‑knit, safety‑focused team flying a proven single‑engine turbine platform across some of the most dynamic flying in the world.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Serve as Pilot in Command on Pilatus PC‑12‑47E missions across the Hawaiian Islands under Part 135.
- Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance and weight/balance calculations, and weather/NOTAM analysis.
- Coordinate with dispatch and maintenance to ensure airworthiness, accurate documentation, and on‑time departures.
- Deliver clear, courteous passenger communication and a consistently professional presence in and out of the cockpit.
- Adhere to company SOPs, risk management, and safety programs; maintain required currency and training.
- Support a 16‑days‑per‑month active/reserve schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
✅ Minimum qualifications
- Total Time: 2,000 hours
- Turbine Time: 350 hours
- Certificate: FAA ATP
- Medical: Class 1
- Part 135: Prior Part 135 experience
- Type Rating: Not required — training provided (NTR)
- Residency: Must reside in Honolulu, Hawai‘i
- Schedule: 16 days/month commitment (active/reserve); weekends, holidays, and overnights as assigned
- Professionalism: Ability to consistently project a polished, professional manner and appearance
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Screening: Pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check
- Security: Ability to obtain an airport‑issued security badge
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license
