Business Jet Captain — Citation Sovereign & Learjet (RIC)

Trident Aircraft is hiring a full-time, type-rated Captain for our Richmond, VA base. You’ll fly a well-maintained fleet that includes a Citation Sovereign, Lear 45, and Lear 75 for a well-established owner group. Operations are a mix of Part 91 and Part 135, with a blend of domestic and international missions.

✈️ About the role

As a Captain on our Richmond-based business jet team, you’ll deliver safe, efficient, and guest-focused operations for a discerning owner group. You’ll operate across a variety of mission profiles under both Part 91 and 135, exercising sound judgment, CRM, and leadership to ensure a premium, reliable experience.

🧭 What you’ll fly & how we operate

  • Primary aircraft: Citation Sovereign (CE-680), Learjet 45, and Learjet 75
  • Operations mix: Part 91 owner flying and Part 135 charter
  • Mission profile: Domestic and international (recent international experience preferred)
  • Team culture: Safety-first, professional, and service-minded with strong CRM and standardization

🧰 Minimum qualifications

  • Total time: 3,000 hours
  • Multi-engine: 1,500 hours
  • Jet PIC: 750 hours
  • Type rating: CE-680 or LR-45 required; both preferred
  • Experience notes: CE-680 and Lear 45 or similar experience; recent international experience
  • License: ATP (FAA)
  • Medical: First Class
  • Work authorization: Visa sponsorship not provided

📍 Base & relocation

  • Base: Richmond International Airport (RIC)
  • Residency: Must live, or be willing to relocate, within a 90-minute drive of RIC within 90 days of start date
