✈️ Corporate Jet Captain or Co‑Captain
Kiewit’s corporate flight department owns, operates, and maintains a modern fleet of 9 Learjet 70/75s and 1 Challenger 300 to support safe, efficient travel for our executives, key staff, and customers across North America. We’re hiring a skilled aviator as either a Co‑pilot (Co‑Captain) or Pilot‑in‑Command (Captain), based in Omaha, NE. This is a permanent position with a predictable weekly schedule averaging about 3 days/2 nights of flying, adjusted as needed by travel demand.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate company aircraft as PIC or SIC for travel throughout North America, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.
- Plan and execute each flight: performance and weight/balance, fuel planning, weather/NOTAM review, flight release, and post‑flight duties.
- Deliver exceptional, discreet service to executives, key staff, and customers while representing Kiewit with professionalism.
- Apply strong CRM, checklist discipline, and SOP adherence; mentor and support crewmates appropriate to seat and experience.
- Maintain currency and proficiency; complete all training, checking, and instrument competency requirements.
- Coordinate with scheduling and maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness and on‑time performance.
- Adapt to variable travel demands, including occasional overtime and weekend operations as required.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 2,500 hours
- PIC time: 1,000 hours
- Multi‑engine: 500 hours
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of business or airline flying
- License: ATP (FAA)
- Medical: First Class
- Type rating: Not required — training provided
- Radio license: Valid aeronautical radiotelephone license
- Instrument competency: Able to pass an instrument competency check in the category of aircraft flown
- Work hours: Able to work normal hours to meet deadlines; overtime/weekends as required
🌟 Preferred
- Time in type: 500+ hours in aircraft to be flown preferred (Learjet 70/75 and/or Challenger 300)
📅 Schedule & travel
- Predictable weekly roster with an average of ~3 duty days and 2 overnights per week.
- Trips primarily within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico; actual schedule flexes with business needs.
