Join a professional Part 135 flight department as the trusted Second in Command. In this permanent, type-rated role, you’ll support the Pilot-in-Command to deliver safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations on our Cessna Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+ fleet.
🧭 Your Mission
The Second in Command reports administratively to the Chief Pilot, and to the PIC during flight. You’ll assist in planning and executing every trip to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service, in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Partner with the PIC through all phases of flight, applying CRM, company SOPs, and checklists without exception.
- Assist with flight planning, performance calculations, fuel strategy, W&B, weather/NOTAM review, and route selection for domestic and international missions.
- Manage radios and clearances, monitor aircraft systems, and proactively identify and communicate threats to maintain a robust safety margin.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation: flight logs, manifests, maintenance write-ups, and regulatory records.
- Support cabin safety and passenger experience with a polished, service-forward approach.
- Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and ground handlers for on-time, efficient turnarounds.
- Maintain currency and proficiency through required training, checks, and continuous learning.
- Uphold a clean, organized cockpit and aircraft, steward company assets, and represent the brand professionally.
🌟 What You Bring
- Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 operations.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking in a dynamic flight environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills; team-first mindset.
- Computer proficiency with word processing, email, and web/mobile applications (EFB-savvy).
- Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to SOP, safety, and service.
- Ability to present a well-groomed, professional appearance aligned with company standards.
- Valid passport and ability to obtain/maintain CANPASS for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
✅ Minimum Flight & Certification Requirements
- Total Time: 2,000 hours
- Multi-Engine: 200 hours
- Type Rating: Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+ (Type-rated required)
- License: ATP
- Accepted Licenses: FAA
- Medical: Class 1 (First Class)
