As a Captain on Walmart Aviation’s mid-range business jet fleet, you will lead every mission with uncompromising safety, precise planning, and calm, confident decision-making. You will set the standard for operational excellence, coordinate across flight operations, maintenance, and scheduling, and deliver a reliable, world-class travel experience aligned to our mission and values.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Lead safe, efficient flight operations in strict accordance with FARs and Walmart Aviation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Own end-to-end flight planning: weather analysis, performance and weight-and-balance, fuel calculations and reserves, route optimization and alternates.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments; apply sound aeronautical decision-making to mitigate operational, regulatory, and environmental risks.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with dispatch, maintenance, scheduling, and security to ensure aircraft readiness and on-time performance.
  • Model professional airmanship and Crew Resource Management; set expectations, mentor, and manage crew performance through clear, transparent communication.
  • Maintain impeccable records and compliance for domestic and international operations, including permits, clearances, and confidential documentation.
  • Champion a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement—contribute to SOP refinement, training feedback, and post-flight debriefs.
  • Deliver a polished, guest-focused experience that reflects Walmart Aviation’s mission and values.

🧰 What you bring (minimum requirements)

  • Certificates: FAA ATP; First-Class Medical.
  • Type Rating: Required in jet aircraft; current and qualified to serve as Captain.
  • Flight Time Minimums: 2,000 hours TT; 500 hours PIC; 1,000 hours turbine.
  • Proven expertise in flight planning, including weather analysis, fuel planning, and route optimization.
  • Strong working knowledge of FARs and international standards.
  • Experience developing and adhering to SOPs that drive safety and efficiency.
  • Effective communicator who fosters collaboration across aviation teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage confidential documentation and meet regulatory requirements for international flights.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and sound aeronautical decision-making.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of aviation practices.

  • 10+ years of corporate and/or military aviation experience.
  • 3,500+ hours TT.
  • 1,000+ hours of jet time.
  • 1,000+ hours PIC.
