✈️ About the role
Texel Air is seeking experienced B737NG Captains to join in a Command role. You will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of each mission—demonstrating calm authority, technical precision, and a safety-first mindset in a fast-moving cargo environment.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Exercise command of the Boeing 737NG, delivering safe, on-time cargo operations with strict adherence to SOPs and company policies.
- Lead, brief, and mentor the flight deck—fostering strong CRM, clear communication, and a just culture.
- Make timely, safety-driven decisions using operational data, including insights from FDM, while actively engaging with the SMS.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance calculations, fuel strategy, and weight and balance for varied cargo loads.
- Coordinate seamlessly with Operations, Engineering, and Ground teams to optimize turnarounds and mitigate disruptions.
- Maintain currency, uphold regulatory compliance, and complete accurate flight documentation and reports.
🧰 What you bring
- Proven leadership and sound operational judgement in commercial operations.
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks and SMS.
- Understanding of FDM and data-informed, safety-led decision making.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, performance, and human factors.
- Recent command experience on the B737NG with strong adherence to SOPs.
- Clear, confident communication and a collaborative approach to team leadership.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 5,000 hours
- PIC in type: 1,000 hours on B737NG
- Multi-pilot: 2,000 hours
- Type rating: B737NG required
- Currency: Current or recent on type (last flight within 12 months)
- License required: ATPL
- Accepted licenses: EASA, FAA, ICAO, UK CAA
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO ELP level: 5
