KaiserAir, Inc. is seeking a full-time, permanent Boeing 737 First Officer to join our Part 121 operation in Oakland, California. As second-in-command, you will support the Captain to deliver a safe, smooth, and professional flight experience while representing our brand with poise and care. Non-type-rated pilots are welcome—type rating training is provided.

✈️ The role

Reporting directly to the Captain, the First Officer serves as second-in-command of company aircraft, ensuring operational excellence from preflight through shutdown. You will help deliver a safe, efficient, and comfortable journey for our clients and passengers while upholding KaiserAir’s standards on and off the flight deck.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Execute all duties of the second-in-command in accordance with company manuals and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in flight planning, performance calculations, weather/NOTAM review, and aircraft systems coordination.
  • Monitor flight progress, manage checklists, and support the Captain in normal and non-normal procedures.
  • Provide a professional, client-focused experience with clear, courteous communication.
  • Oversee and assist with ground operations, including supervising baggage loading and refueling.
  • Purchase and restock onboard supplies; complete ancillary office and administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Contribute to a strong safety culture, SMS participation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

🌟 What you bring

  • Minimums: 2,500 hours total time; FAA ATP; Class 1 Medical.
  • Type Rating: Not required—training provided (NTR candidates encouraged to apply).
  • Preferred: Boeing 737 type rating; previous 737 experience and Part 121 time.
  • Professional presence: Polished, well-groomed appearance that reflects KaiserAir standards.
  • People-first mindset: Strong interpersonal skills, a positive outlook, and a sincere concern for others.
  • Travel readiness: Ability to be away from base for up to 21 consecutive days on extended trips.
  • Documentation: Valid U.S. Passport.

🎓 Training and progression

KaiserAir provides Boeing 737 training for qualified candidates without a current type rating. You’ll receive company-standard indoctrination and recurrent training to maintain currency, proficiency, and compliance in our Part 121 environment.

🧳 Schedule and travel

This role supports scheduled and ad-hoc operations with variable duty periods. Candidates must be prepared for multi-week rotations, including up to 21 days on extended trips, consistent with operational needs and duty regulations.
