If you prefer flying packages over people, this is a pretty great gig. Join a team that keeps the atmosphere fun and relaxed while holding a high bar for professional flying. You’ll exercise sharp IFR skills in complex airspace and real weather to move time-critical cargo safely and efficiently.
🧭 Your mission
- Operate the Baron 55/56/58 in cargo service with professional execution on every leg, day and night.
- Plan and fly precise IFR routes through busy, complex airspace (including Class B) and diverse weather.
- Perform thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance; oversee secure cargo loading and restraint.
- Adhere to company SOPs and all applicable regulations while maintaining top-tier safety and airmanship.
- Communicate effectively with operations/dispatch and customers; provide timely status updates and ETAs.
- Complete accurate logs, reports, and documentation for operational and regulatory compliance.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Exceptionally sharp IFR skills and confidence working in complex, high-density airspace.
- Sound judgment and weather decision-making across a variety of conditions.
- FAA CPL with Instrument Rating and a current Class 1 medical.
- Ability to comply with PRIA requirements and DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations.
- Capability to meet the physical demands of the role, including ramp work and cargo handling.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Residence within a 1-hour wheels-up radius of IAD.
- A team-first attitude that matches our relaxed culture and professional standards.
📏 Minimum requirements
- Total Time: 1,200 hours
- Cross-Country: 500 hours
- Night: 100 hours
- Instrument: 75 hours (at least 50 in actual conditions)
- Open to License Holders: FAA
