🧭 Role overview

As the designated Pilot-in-Command, you will lead all phases of HondaJet operations—from meticulous preflight planning through to a polished passenger experience—while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and discretion. This role suits a customer service–oriented aviator who performs at their best under pressure.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Serve as PIC on the HA-420, exercising sound judgment and ensuring uncompromising safety and compliance.
  • Own the flight planning process: performance, weight and balance, weather, NOTAMs, fuel strategy, alternates, and risk assessment.
  • Deliver a refined, friendly, and discreet passenger experience; anticipate needs and resolve issues proactively.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, scheduling, and maintenance to ensure aircraft readiness and accurate documentation.
  • Lead crew briefings; model CRM and SOP adherence; mentor the SIC and support continuous improvement.
  • Manage irregular operations and time-critical decisions calmly and effectively.
  • Maintain currency, training, and systems proficiency; uphold a just culture and safety reporting.

🌟 Minimum qualifications

  • Total time: 2,500 hours
  • PIC time: 1,500 hours
  • Jet time: 1,500 hours
  • License required: ATPL (TCCA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP: Level 4
  • Customer focus: Demonstrated customer service orientation
  • Performance: Proven ability to work under pressure

💡 Preferred

  • HondaJet experience: Previous time on the HA-420
  • Type rating: Current HA-420 type rating

🎯 Training & development

  • Type rating training: Provided for qualified, non-type-rated candidates
  • Ongoing development: Recurrent training, systems upgrades, and leadership mentorship
