You’ll lead safe, mission-focused flying while partnering closely with clients, drawing on your airmanship, judgement and professional communication skills. Type training is provided, and military flying experience is highly regarded.
✈️ The opportunity
As an Omni Aircraft Captain, you will operate across a range of aircraft types and mission profiles. You’ll set the standard for safety and professionalism, communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders, and deliver on operational objectives with precision and integrity.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Act as Pilot in Command across multiple aircraft types, ensuring safety, compliance and exemplary airmanship.
- Plan and execute missions end-to-end: flight planning, briefings, risk assessments and post-flight reporting.
- Engage directly with clients to understand requirements, negotiate mission parameters and deliver outcomes.
- Safeguard sensitive information and adhere to applicable security protocols at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through high-quality technical documentation and feedback.
- Maintain currency and standards through training, checking, and type conversions provided by Omni.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Current Australian Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- A high degree of integrity with a commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet objectives and targets for our clients.
- High-level technical writing skills for reports, briefs and operational documentation.
- A strong commitment to upholding Omni’s values and ethical standards.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- PIC time: 1,000 hours
- Type rating: Not required (training provided)
- Flight time notes: Previous military flying experience
- Licence: CPL — CASA holders
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
