🧭 The mission

As Captain, you will lead Westwind operations in demanding air ambulance and charter environments. You’ll exercise sound operational judgment, coordinate seamlessly with medical and ground teams, and deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate service on both rapid-response and long-range flights.

🧰 What you’ll do

  • Command multi-engine turbine IFR flights throughout Canada, the U.S., Mexico, and the Caribbean.
  • Execute time-critical air ambulance missions in coordination with medical crews and dispatch.
  • Plan and conduct international and long-range operations, including fuel strategy and customs/immigration coordination.
  • Lead with calm, decisive judgment in dynamic weather, airspace, and operational conditions.
  • Uphold safety, checklist discipline, and proactive participation in the company SMS.
  • Collaborate in multi-crew, multi-disciplinary teams; mentor and support fellow crew members.

🌟 Minimum requirements

  • Total time: 3,000 hours
  • Multi-engine PIC: 500 hours
  • License: ATPL (TCCA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Type rating: Not required — training provided
  • Language: English proficiency (excellent oral and written)
  • ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher

🧾 Additional requirements

  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally, including the United States.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Certificate.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Criminal Record Check issued within the last 30 days.

💼 Preferred experience

  • Previous multi-engine turbine or jet experience.
  • Experience in corporate or charter operations.
  • Proven IFR, multi-crew operational background.
  • International and/or long-range operational experience.
