🧭 Minimum requirements
- Total time: Minimum 1,500 hours on aircraft types eligible for ZFTT
- In type: 1,000 hours (B747 or equivalent Boeing type)
- Type rating: Current and valid on Boeing 747 or an equivalent Boeing aircraft type
- Currency: Flown the relevant Boeing type within the last 12 months
- License: UK CAA ATPL
- Medical: Class 1
- English: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
- Passport: Valid, unrestricted worldwide travel passport
- Visa sponsorship: Not provided
Flight time notes: 1,500 hours on aircraft types that satisfy ZFTT. These hours must include Boeing 747 or an equivalent Boeing aircraft with a valid type rating, with that type flown within the last 12 months.

- Execute long‑haul operations to exacting standards, from pre‑flight planning through post‑flight debrief
- Partner with the Captain to ensure safe decision‑making and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of flight
- Apply disciplined SOP adherence, robust CRM, and proactive threat and error management
- Maintain performance, payload, and fuel efficiency through precise systems management and monitoring
- Foster a strong safety culture and mentor within the flight deck as a Senior First Officer
