  • Base: Home of Record (HOR); worldwide deployable
  • Aircraft: DHC-8 (Dash 8) – Fixed Wing
  • Position: Pilot in Command; may serve as SIC as required
  • Type-Rated: Required (DHC-8)
  • Travel: Domestic and international; ~180+ days annually; monthly schedule varies
  • Clearance: Able to obtain and maintain Secret
  • Licenses: CPL, IR, ME (Authority: FAA)
  • Medical: Class 2
  • Other: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Language: Spanish Level L-2, R-2 required for LATAM programs
  • Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccination required where permitted by applicable law

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as DHC-8 Pilot in Command and, as needed, Second in Command to support mission requirements.
  • Plan and brief flight assignments: assess mission purpose, weather, NOTAMs, operating procedures, and special instructions.
  • Execute all phases of flight with disciplined airmanship, strong CRM, and a safety-first mindset.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and ground teams to ensure aircraft readiness and mission success.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance, company SOPs, and host-nation requirements while operating OCONUS.
  • Adapt to dynamic tasking, austere environments, and changing schedules across global theaters.

🧰 Minimum Requirements

  • Total Time: 1,500 hours
  • Turbine Time: 500 hours
  • Current DHC-8 type rating
  • CPL, IR, ME (Authority: FAA)
  • Class 2 medical
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
  • Previous military fixed-wing training qualification or civilian equivalent
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~180+ days per year
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • High school diploma or GED

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA ATP certificate
  • CFI, CFII, MEI
  • Documented Functional Check Pilot (FCP) / Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) training with Maintenance Evaluator designation
  • Prior military pilot experience and/or pilot support on the DoS INL/A program
  • Spanish proficiency L-2/R-2 strongly preferred for LATAM assignments

🎓 Training, Compliance & Equivalency

  • Complete DHC-8 Readiness Level (RL) training within 90 days of integration.
  • OCONUS: Host nation equivalent certifications may be accepted in lieu of FAA certifications where applicable.
  • Maintain all qualifications, medicals, and clearances current per company and regulatory standards.
