✈️ The Mission

Own the role of Pilot-in-Command on the Citation XLS/XLS+, delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused corporate flight operations. You will champion Safety Management Systems (SMS), ensure full compliance with FARs, and model the highest standards of airmanship and crew leadership.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Serve as PIC on Citation Excel/XLS/XLS+ missions, domestic and international.
  • Plan and execute flights in full compliance with all applicable FARs for corporate operations.
  • Maintain instrument and night currency; complete and pass required instrument competency checks.
  • Lead with a strong safety orientation, advancing the department’s SMS program and safety reporting culture.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, weather/route planning, crew and passenger briefings, and weight-and-balance and performance calculations.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with dispatch/maintenance; ensure aircraft readiness and documentation for international operations.
  • Support an on-call operation, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight trips.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total Time: 4,000 hours
  • Multi-Engine: 2,000 hours
  • Turbine: 500 hours
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of flight experience
  • License: FAA ATP
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Valid passport with ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to pass an instrument competency check and meet all instrument and night currency requirements
  • Expert knowledge of FARs pertaining to corporate flight operations
  • Served as a safety officer (or equivalent) for a minimum of 1 year
  • Ability to work a flexible, on-call schedule (nights, weekends, holidays, overnights)
  • Reside within a commutable distance (within one hour) of Le Mars, IA

  • Current CE560XL type rating (Citation XLS+)
  • Demonstrated leadership within an SMS-driven flight department
