✈️ The mission
As a PC-12 Captain, you will be the PIC for time-critical aeromedical transports, delivering safe, reliable, and compassionate service for Utah AirMed. You’ll operate IFR in dynamic environments, coordinating closely with medical teams to move patients swiftly and safely across the Intermountain West.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as PIC for fixed-wing air ambulance missions under IFR and SPIFR.
- Execute thorough preflight planning: weather, performance, fuel, alternates, weight and balance, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate seamlessly with flight communications, medical crews, and dispatch to ensure on-time, safe patient transport.
- Operate to the highest safety standards in varied terrain and conditions, maintaining situational awareness and sound decision-making.
- Conduct precise IFR procedures, approaches, and departures; utilize NVG when assigned and qualified.
- Complete accurate flight logs, aircraft paperwork, and regulatory documentation.
- Support aircraft care and readiness in collaboration with maintenance and leadership.
- Maintain currency, proficiency, and adherence to Metro Aviation SOPs and FAA regulations.

🌟 Minimum qualifications
- License: FAA ATP
- Medical: FAA Second Class at hire (First Class for turbojet operations)
- Total Time: 2,500 hours
- PIC Time: 1,000 hours
- In Type (PC-12): 50 hours
- Cross-Country: 500 hours
- Night: 100 hours
- Instrument: 75 hours total (50 in flight)
- Type Rating: Not required – full training provided
- Other: Valid driver’s license
- Licensing Region: Open to FAA certificate holders
🌟 Preferred experience
- Prior air medical operations experience
- Single-pilot IFR operations
- Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations
