Medevac Captain – Multi‑Aircraft Fleet

Lead lifesaving flights as our next Medevac Captain

Reporting to the 703/704 Chief Pilot, you will command medevac missions that move patients and essential passengers safely and efficiently across our network. As a Transport Canada–approved Captain, you set the tone for safety, on-time performance, and passenger comfort while working in tight coordination with flight followers and the broader crew. In this role, you will stay current with evolving regulations, develop intimate mechanical knowledge of the aircraft you fly, and maintain constant communication to ensure every medevac transfer is efficient and effective.

✈️ What you’ll do

  • Serve as Pilot-in-Command for 703/704 medevac operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and airmanship.
  • Prioritize patient and passenger comfort while meeting operational timelines and performance targets.
  • Maintain currency with industry regulations and company publications; proactively apply updates to procedures and SOPs.
  • Develop and demonstrate intimate mechanical knowledge of the aircraft you operate.
  • Act as a TCCA-approved flight crew member, meeting or exceeding qualification standards.
  • Coordinate continuously with flight followers, dispatch, medical teams, and ground handlers to execute efficient, effective transfers.
  • Lift, load, and secure patients, cargo, baggage, and freight in accordance with safety and weight-and-balance protocols.
  • Adapt to indoor/outdoor work across all weather conditions and operate from remote bases as scheduled.
  • Uphold company SOPs, SMS, and risk management practices; lead by example in the cockpit and on the ramp.

🧭 What you bring

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations and commitment to ongoing regulatory currency.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all applicable transportation security clearances and authorizations.
  • Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record checks (required).
  • Valid Passport and valid Driver License (required).
  • Physically able to perform all job duties, including lifting and securing patients and cargo.
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors in all weather; able to travel and reside at remote bases while on shift.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to travel for extended periods.
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset.
  • Open to license holders: TCCA only; visa sponsorship is not provided.

  • Total Time: 1,500 hours
  • PIC Time: 500 hours
  • License: ATPL (TCCA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO ELP: Level 4 or higher
  • Type Rating: Not required (Training provided)
