We’re seeking experienced, safety-focused Captains who want the freedom of a home-based role and the satisfaction of a predictable schedule. If you’re close to the hour minimums, we still encourage you to apply.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Serve as Pilot in Command on the Learjet 60, ensuring safe, compliant operations on every leg.
- Lead all phases of flight: performance planning, weight and balance, weather/route analysis, and fuel strategy.
- Exercise sound judgment and crew resource management, modeling professional airmanship at all times.
- Uphold company SMS, FAA regulations, and TSA requirements.
- Deliver an exceptional passenger experience with on-time, efficient operations.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Total time: 3,000 hours
- PIC time: 1,000 hours
- Multi‑engine: 1,500 hours
- Turbine: 1,000 hours
- Turbine PIC: 1,000 hours
- Jet PIC: 500 hours
- Instrument time: 300 hours
- License required: ATP
- Open to Lic. Holders: FAA
- Medical: Class 1
- Type rating: Not required (Training Provided)
🔐 Eligibility & Logistics
- Passport: Current
- Background checks: Must pass Company and TSA background checks
- Home base: Live within a 1:30 hour drive of a major airport
- Visa sponsorship: Not provided
🎓 Training & Type Rating
No Learjet 60 type rating required. AB Jets will pay for all required training for successful applicants. A training agreement may be required in some cases.
