Location: BPC Site 1, United States; rotational deployments across Central & Western Pacific island locations

Employment: Permanent, full-time; 3‑month rotational deployments (includes pre-/post-deployment training, travel, and admin)

Aircraft: Civil-registered King Air 200/300, maritime surveillance configuration

Operations: 14 CFR Part 91; dual-pilot standard crew with Sensor Operator and Crew Chief (single-pilot authorized)

✈️ Mission & Role

TSC is hiring experienced turbine pilots to serve as Pilot-in-Command and Second-in-Command on civil fisheries-enforcement maritime surveillance missions. Expect daily extended overwater operations at multiple altitudes, including low-level maneuvering in VMC and IMC across the Central and Western Pacific. TSC provides comprehensive mission and aircraft training.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • PIC (King Air 200/300): Plan routes, weather, and fuel; file flight plans; conduct preflights; complete Aircrew Risk Management and weight & balance; brief crews and riders on normal/emergency procedures; inspect/test lifesaving and emergency equipment; maintain pre/post-flight records; produce mission observation reports; coordinate with crew and ground teams; represent the program with local officials; conduct functional check flights, transits, and surveillance missions.
  • SIC: Act as second-in-command on all mission types; support PIC with planning, checklists, systems monitoring, and ATC/oceanic comms; assist Crew Chief with pre-/post-flight duties; help prepare international travel documents and logistics; participate in deployed aviation and non-aviation activities.
  • Both roles: Execute extended overwater surveillance operations safely and professionally; perform additional duties as assigned by the program.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

  • License: Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with FAA Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings (Commercial Privileges). Equivalent CASA ratings considered.
  • Medical: Valid FAA Second-Class Medical (must remain valid throughout deployments).
  • Baseline hours: Minimum 750 total time to be considered (meets SIC threshold).
  • SIC minimums: 750 total time; 100 PIC; 200 AMEL; 50 AMEL in last 6 months.
  • PIC minimums: 1,500 total time; 1,000 PIC; 500 AMEL; 250 in BE200/350; 50 AMEL in last 6 months.
  • Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills; clear crew/ground comms; strong CRM; good health and mission-appropriate physical conditioning.
  • Travel & eligibility: Willingness to travel on reasonable notice for periods up to 3 months; current US or Australian passport; fluent English (read/write/speak/comprehend); minimum age 23.
  • Verification: Candidates must document all flight hours. TSC evaluates quality, quantity, recency, aircraft complexity, operational types, and turbine PIC experience.

🌟 Desired & Preferred Experience

  • Desired: Law-enforcement, military, or equivalent mission-related flying; deployed or surveillance operations; King Air operations; international operations; Garmin G600, GTN 750, and G1000 glass-cockpit experience.
  • Preferred hours/quals: 3,000 total time; 1,500 PIC; 1,000 AMEL; 100 AMEL in last 6 months; 500 in King Air; 200 actual instrument; BE-200/300 type ratings; CFI/CFII/MEI.
