✈️ The Mission

Every launch is a time-critical flight with a purpose: connecting patients to care across British Columbia’s mountains, coastlines, and remote communities. As a King Air First Officer, you’ll pair precision flying with calm decision-making, navigating demanding terrain and weather while coordinating closely with medical teams to deliver safe, swift, and compassionate air ambulance service.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Operate as First Officer on multi-crew IFR and VFR medevac flights across British Columbia.
  • Apply advanced mountain flying techniques, terrain awareness, and disciplined SOPs in challenging environments.
  • Execute thorough preflight planning, performance calculations, and weight-and-balance for time-sensitive missions.
  • Maintain exemplary CRM, checklist discipline, and cockpit resource management under pressure.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, medical crews, and ground agencies to ensure seamless patient transport.
  • Continuously assess weather and operational risk, adapting plans to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Participate in initial and recurrent training, including simulator events (U.S. based pending TSA approval).
  • Uphold regulatory compliance, company SOPs, and meticulous operational documentation.

🧰 Minimum Requirements

  • Total Time: 1,000 hours
  • Multi-Engine: 500 hours
  • Mountain Flying: 250 hours
  • Turbine Experience: Experience on multi-engine turbine aircraft
  • Licences: Valid TCCA CPL with IR and ME
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language: ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

  • IATRA or ATPL exams written

🧩 Additional Requirements

  • Recommended: up-to-date vaccinations against diphtheria, poliomyelitis, tetanus, and hepatitis B
  • No Transport Canada violations or suspensions
  • Ability to obtain TSA clearance and approval for simulator training in the United States
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with the internet
  • Open to TCCA licence holders only
