🧭 The Mission

This Captain role exists to provide single-pilot expertise to our Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) operations based out of Texas and to meet company requirements and customer needs. You’ll execute precisely planned sorties using an electronic guidance system to deliver consistent, repeatable results that make a measurable impact.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Conduct safe, precise single-pilot flights in the King Air 90 supporting SIT operations.
  • Operate the onboard electronic guidance system to fly accurate mission grids and profiles.
  • Plan and execute day/night and IFR-capable missions in accordance with FAA regulations and company SOPs.
  • Coordinate closely with ground and operations teams; contribute as a reliable, collaborative team member.
  • Maintain aircraft, records, and personal currency to company and regulatory standards.

🌟 Minimum Requirements

  • Total Time: 1,200 hours
  • PIC Time: 250 hours
  • PIC in Type: 25 hours
  • Multi-Engine PIC: 100 hours
  • Type Rating: Required (Beechcraft King Air)
  • Licenses: FAA CPL, IR, ME
  • Medical: Class 2
  • Additional: Ability to operate the electronic guidance system; ability to work as a team member; relocation to Texas required

📌 Flight Time Notes

  • 50 hours night flying
  • 50 hours instrument, including at least 5 hours in actual instrument meteorological conditions
  • 25 hours pilot-in-command in the make and model (Beechcraft King Air); at least 10 hours within the preceding 12 calendar months preferred

🔁 Currency

  • At least 100 hours of the stated flight time must have occurred within the past 12 months
