You’ll fly domestic and international missions, partner closely with experienced Captains, and deliver an exceptional client experience while building a strong foundation for long-term growth.
🧭 The Opportunity
As a First Officer with Jet Access, you’ll be a key crewmember across a varied fleet supporting Part 135 and Part 91 operations. You’ll contribute to meticulous flight preparation, precise aircraft operation, and five-star client care—while participating in recurrent training, safety programs, and continuous professional development.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Operate company aircraft in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual, FAR 135/91, and duty/rest limitations.
- Partner with the Captain on flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAMs, performance, and fuel planning; execute CRM and emergency procedures.
- Deliver discreet, relationship-driven service that exceeds client expectations; accommodate special requests with professionalism.
- Maintain proficiency and currency on assigned aircraft; complete required training, recency, and checks.
- Complete accurate flight documentation, trip records, and audit-ready paperwork (ARGUS, Wyvern, IS-BAO).
- Support safety culture through hazard identification, open reporting, and active participation in safety programs.
- Conduct post-flight walkarounds; report and coordinate discrepancies with Maintenance; uphold interior/exterior presentation standards.
- Support aircraft positioning, ferry, and repositioning missions; monitor systems and promptly communicate anomalies.
- Collaborate with Dispatch, Scheduling, Maintenance, and Flight Ops to ensure seamless operations and client journeys.
🌟 What You’ll Bring
- Jet experience required, including a current jet type rating with flight experience; initial or recurrent training on assigned type within the past 12 months.
- Minimum 1,500 total hours and 500 PIC hours.
- License: Commercial Pilot License with Multi-Engine and Instrument Rating (CPL/ME/IR); ATP strongly preferred.
- Medical: Current Second Class Medical (renewed every 12 months) required; First Class preferred.
- Working knowledge of FAR Part 135 and Part 91, FAA, ICAO, and international operations.
- Proficiency with digital flight tools and avionics; familiarity with platforms like Avianis or ForeFlight Dispatch is valued.
- Successful background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Valid state driver’s license; ability to meet FAA medical/physical standards; stamina for extended duty periods and varied environments.
- Local availability in central Indiana with regular in-person presence at base airports and charter departure points; evening/weekend and on-call availability.
- Calm, clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused, service-minded approach and strong alignment with Jet Access core values.
💎 Differentiators
- ATP certificate in hand.
- Current CL-64 or DA-2000 type rating.
- Prior Part 135 or corporate flight operations experience in a managed fleet.
- International experience: ICAO airspace, customs coordination, and overwater procedures.
- Track record of exceptional service in high-end or luxury environments.
💼 Pay & Benefits
- Base Pay: $75,000–$110,000 DOE and aircraft assignment; paid bi-weekly.
- Variable Pay: Hourly compensation based on flight hours and aircraft assignment.
- Classification: FLSA Exempt.
