Pentastar Aviation is seeking a seasoned PIC to join a dedicated team operating a fleet of two large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft. If you’re a safety-first leader with high-level Gulfstream and international experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Waterford, MI (reside within two hours of base)
Fleet: Two large-cabin Gulfstream aircraft
Annual Flight Time: ~250 hours/year
Minimum Total Time: 4,000+ hours
Licenses: ATP (restricted or unrestricted), FAA First Class Medical
Preferences: GVII/GVIII type ratings; G500/G600 background

✈️ About the Role

As Captain and PIC, you’ll be accountable for passenger and crew safety and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. You’ll lead a professional crew, make data-driven operational decisions, and ensure full compliance with all FAA regulations—at home and abroad.

🧭 What You’ll Do

Exercise final authority for the safe, efficient operation of the flight.
Supervise and mentor the flight crew; foster a culture of safety and professionalism.
Plan and execute routes, performance, and fuel strategy to meet schedule demands.
Select optimal takeoff and landing windows; adjust speed and routing to ensure punctuality and comfort.
Make operational calls on delays, reroutes, and cancellations in dynamic environments.
Ensure strict compliance with all flight and ground regulations and company procedures.
Support general department duties when not flying; contribute to continuous improvement.

🧰 What You’ll Bring

4,000+ hours total time.
ATP Certificate (restricted or unrestricted) and ability to obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical.
Proven business aviation background.
Large-cabin Gulfstream experience and international operations expertise.
G500/G600 experience highly desirable.
Hiring preference for current GVII and/or GVIII type ratings with prior time in type.
Ability to manage a changing schedule and adapt to evolving mission needs.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
