Join Bombardier in Mississauga, Ontario, as a Captain at the forefront of Global 7500/8000 flight operations. You’ll command production ground and flight tests that validate airworthiness, lead customer demonstration and acceptance flights, and support the Bombardier Flight Test Center—helping prove every aircraft is ready to perform.

  • Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada
  • Program: Bombardier Global 7500/8000 (BD-700 family)
  • License: Canadian ATPL with Class 1 Medical

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Conduct production ground and flight tests to validate aircraft airworthiness.
  • Lead demonstration flights for prospective customers, Customer Acceptance flights, and Ferry flights.
  • Own pre- and post-flight planning, briefings, debriefs, and documentation.
  • Serve as aircraft commander, fostering a positive, cooperative dynamic with crew and management.
  • Support extended weekend schedules as required and assist the Bombardier Flight Test Center.
  • Review manuals and other technical documentation to ensure operational accuracy.
  • Perform secondary duties that support the broader flight operations team.

🧰 What you bring

  • Valid Canadian ATPL and Class 1 Medical.
  • Minimum 3,500 hours total time, including 500 hours PIC on large multi‑engine aircraft.
  • Legal right to live and work in Canada.
  • Comfort with irregular hours and short‑notice travel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a collaborative team mindset.
  • Calm, sound decision‑making in high‑workload or stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.

🌟 Great-to-have

  • Type endorsement on BD-700 and/or G7500.
  • Previous flight‑test experience.
  • Strong technical background in certification or training.
  • U.S. ATP.

🗓 Operations & schedule

  • May support extended weekend schedules based on program needs.
  • Occasional short‑notice travel and irregular hours.
  • Secondary duties in support of flight operations, as required.
