Seair Seaplanes is seeking dynamic, qualified Captains to fly the iconic DHC-2 Beaver on scheduled and charter routes along British Columbia’s spectacular coast. This is a permanent, Vancouver-based role where you’ll lead safe, professional float operations serving remote communities and discerning travelers.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Captain DHC-2 Beaver float operations across coastal BC, including water takeoffs/landings, docking, and ramp procedures.
  • Operate scheduled and bespoke charter flights while delivering clear briefings and outstanding customer service.
  • Exercise strong airmanship and decision-making in a changing maritime environment; assess weather, tides, and performance limits.
  • Plan and conduct flights in accordance with company SOPs, the CARs, and SMS; complete weight & balance, fuel planning, and navigation.
  • Champion safety in remote operations; manage risk and apply threat and error management.
  • Collaborate with dispatch and maintenance; support dock duties, fueling, and loading as a proactive team member.

🧰 What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 1,000 hours PIC total time.
  • Minimum 500 hours PIC floatplane time.
  • CPL with Float Rating; TCCA license.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical.
  • ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Safety-oriented mindset; capable of operating independently in remote coastal locations.
  • Adaptable and composed in a changing environment; a self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Eligible to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Type rating not required — full DHC-2 training provided.
