Bring your coastal airmanship to one of Canada’s most scenic and dynamic operating environments. Seair Seaplanes is hiring a safety-focused, customer-first Captain to fly our Cessna 208 Caravan float fleet on scheduled and charter services along the breathtaking British Columbia coast.

✈️ The role

As a Caravan Floatplane Captain, you’ll safely operate Seair’s coastal routes and bespoke charters, navigating changing weather, tides, and unique waterfront environments. You’ll partner with Dispatch and Customer Service Agents to deliver reliable, on-time operations and an exceptional passenger experience.

  • Conduct safe, efficient flight operations in coastal and remote locations across BC and into the USA.
  • Perform thorough preflight planning, including weather, weight-and-balance, and fuel management for marine environments.
  • Operate to company SOPs, CARs, and safety management practices with strong airmanship and situational awareness.
  • Collaborate closely with Dispatch and Customer Service Agents to manage schedules, turnarounds, and customer needs.
  • Deliver warm, professional customer service from dock to dock; be a calm, confident presence for guests.
  • Be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, changing coastal environment.

🧭 Minimum qualifications

  • Total PIC: 2000+ hours
  • PIC Floatplane: Minimum 1000 hours
  • License: TCCA CPL with Float Rating
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO English: Level 4 (minimum)
  • Passport: Valid; eligible to operate into the USA
  • Work authorization: Legally entitled to work in Canada (visa sponsorship not provided)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Safety-oriented; comfortable operating in remote coastal locations
  • Adaptable and proactive in a changing environment

  • Previous BC coastal flying experience
  • Prior time on the Cessna 208 (float)
