Perimeter Aviation is recruiting a Metro First Officer to support its Canadian 703/704 scheduled, freight, and charter operations across Manitoba and Ontario. In this community-focused role, you will prioritize safe flight operations, passenger comfort, and on-time performance while serving Northern routes with professionalism and respect for First Nations communities.

  • Locations: Winnipeg, MB · Thunder Bay, ON · Sioux Lookout, ON
  • Operations: Canadian 703/704 scheduled passenger, freight, and charter
  • Aircraft: Swearingen Metroliner (Metro)
  • Reports to: Assistant Chief Pilot
  • License required: CPL with Group 1 IFR and Category 1 Medical
  • Focus: Safe, on-time, community-centred service across the North

🧭 The Opportunity

As a Metro First Officer, you will transport passengers and freight within Perimeter Aviation’s northern network, supporting both scheduled services and charter missions. You will operate to the highest safety standards, deliver a thoughtful customer experience, and contribute meaningfully to the communities we serve.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Conduct Metro flights in strict accordance with SOPs, CARs, the Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations Manual.
  • Assist the Pilot-in-Command with flight planning, aircraft management, and the execution of all cockpit procedures.
  • Fuel the aircraft and complete thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections on behalf of the Captain.
  • Load, secure, and manage cargo and freight; deliver clear passenger briefings per SOPs.
  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach that supports safety, efficiency, and on-time performance.
  • Continuously build operational knowledge and flying proficiency with the goal of upgrading to Captain; perform additional duties as assigned.

🌟 What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • CPL (Canada), Category 1 Medical, and current Group 1 Instrument Rating.
  • English fluency with strong verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Preferred: 1,000+ hours total flight time (asset, not required).
  • Ability to qualify for a Winnipeg Airport Authority RAIC security clearance.
  • Professionalism, respect, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, prioritization, customer service, problem-solving, analytical, relationship-building, and communication skills; integrity, confidentiality, and composure under pressure.
  • Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset.
  • Physically able to perform all duties; work indoors/outdoors in varying weather; lift and carry up to 50 lbs; travel by aircraft and other means; and work flexible schedules for extended periods.
