✈️ The Role
As a core crewmember on our Citation XLS+, you’ll partner closely with Captains and our flight-operations team to deliver safe, compliant, and memorable flights for our managed and charter clients. You’ll balance meticulous preparation with warm, anticipatory service—representing the Jet Access commitment to safety, integrity, and positivity on every leg.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Flight operations & safety: Operate in accordance with the Flight Operations Manual and company policies; adhere to duty/rest limits; maintain proficiency and currency on assigned types.
- Preflight leadership: Lead pre-flight planning, weather and NOTAM review; brief with the Captain; apply CRM and support abnormal/emergency procedures.
- Client service: Deliver polished, discreet service; anticipate needs; coordinate with ops for seamless door-to-door experiences; uphold a professional brand presence.
- Compliance: Keep documentation accurate and timely; remain current on FAA, ICAO, and international regulations; support audit readiness under ARGUS, Wyvern, and IS-BAO.
- Aircraft stewardship: Execute thorough post-flight walkarounds; coordinate maintenance write-ups; protect cabin appearance; support positioning, ferry, and repositioning flights.
- Teamwork & growth: Participate in required training and recurrent events; engage in safety programs; collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and special projects.
🧰 What You’ll Bring
- Flight time: Minimum 1,500 hours total time and 500 hours PIC total time.
- Certificates: Commercial Multi-Engine with Instrument; current Second Class Medical (renewed every 12 months).
- Type & currency: Initial or recurrent training on CE-560XLS+ within the past 12 months.
- Preferred: ATP (strongly preferred), First Class Medical, turbine/jet time, prior Part 135/corporate experience.
- Regulatory knowledge: Strong working knowledge of FAR Part 135/91; familiarity with FAA, ICAO, and international ops for assigned routes.
- Tech proficiency: Comfortable with digital flight-planning and avionics; platforms such as Avianis and ForeFlight Dispatch a plus.
- Clearances: Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
- Logistics & fitness: Valid state driver’s license; stamina for extended duty periods and varied environments; able to meet FAA medical/physical standards for Part 135.
- Soft skills: Calm under pressure; crisp cockpit/ground comms; receptive to feedback; team-first with a client-centric mindset.
🌟 Schedule & Lifestyle
- Variable schedule with early departures, late arrivals, evenings/weekends, on-call periods.
- 10 hard days off per month and approximately 25 flight hours per month.
- Domestic and international trips, including extended overnights and multi-day sequences.
- When not on trip, attend Level 10 Meetings and all-hands; maintain proactive comms with dispatch and scheduling.
- Base requirement: Must be local to Carlsbad, CA with regular in-person presence at assigned base airports and charter departure points.

- Base salary: $75,000–$115,000 under the Jet Access Flight Crew Compensation Plan, paid bi-weekly, plus variable compensation based on aircraft assignment and experience.
