🧭 Role snapshot
As First Officer, you will support safe, efficient amphibious operations under the direction of the Captain, helping deliver versatile utility flying that may include charter, skydive support, or medevac-style missions depending on operational needs. You’ll contribute across the full flight cycle—from planning and preflight to water and runway operations—while sharpening your skills on a respected single‑engine turbine platform.
🧰 What you’ll do
- Assist with flight planning, performance, and weight & balance calculations for amphibious operations.
- Conduct thorough preflight inspections, with particular attention to float systems and water egress equipment.
- Execute checklist, navigation, and communication duties to the highest standard under the Captain’s guidance.
- Support safe water operations, including step taxi, docking, mooring, and ramp/beach procedures as applicable.
- Manage loading, passenger briefings, and cargo restraints to maintain aircraft balance and safety.
- Monitor fuel planning and consumption, weather, and alternates aligned with ICAO and company SOPs.
- Contribute to safety reporting and continuous improvement within the Safety Management System.
🌟 Minimum requirements
- Total time: 250+ hours
- Licences: Valid CPL with Float Rating and IR
- Accepted authority: CAAT licence holders
- Medical: Class 1
- ICAO ELP: Level 5
- Type rating: Not required – training provided
- Work eligibility: Visa sponsorship is not provided; you must have the right to work where the role is based.
💡 Preferred experience
- Single‑Engine Turbine (SET) time or type experience.
- C208 time or rating.
- Background in General Aviation, skydive operations, or medevac/air ambulance flying.
- Strong airmanship in remote or variable environments and sound decision‑making under operational pressure.
🎓 Training and progression
We’ll provide a structured transition onto the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan Amphibian, including systems, performance, and float operations training. You’ll receive mentorship, standardization, and recurrent training designed to build confidence and competence in amphibious utility flying.
