  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 6
  • Work rights: Australian citizenship or unrestricted right to work in Australia/New Zealand

🧭 Minimum requirements

  • Minimum 500 hours total flight time.
  • Australian Multi‑Engine Aeroplane Instrument Rating with IAP 2D and 3D endorsements.
  • Multi‑crew Cooperation Course (MCC) or proven experience in a multi‑crew operation.
  • Frozen ATPL (ATPL theory credits), IR, ME.
  • Valid CASA Class 1 Medical.

🌟 Preferred experience

  • Type rating on A320 or F100.
  • Recent time and recency on applicable type.
  • Recent experience on an airline jet type.
  • Demonstrated multi‑crew airline operations experience.

🔒 Additional requirements

  • Ability to pass a Qantas pre‑employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
  • Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
  • A current passport with unrestricted access to all Qantas ports of call and at least 12 months validity.
  • Australian citizenship or the right to work in Australia/New Zealand without restriction or sponsorship.

  • Operate as First Officer on A320/F100 aircraft within a multi‑crew environment, upholding the highest safety and compliance standards.
  • Participate in company training, including type conversion for non‑type rated pilots.
  • Apply strong CRM, situational awareness, and SOP adherence to deliver reliable, on‑time operations.
