We’re inviting experienced First Officers to join our Embraer E195 and Airbus A320 operations at SAS. 🧭 The role

As a First Officer at SAS, you will operate the E195 or A320 with precision and care, embodying a safety-first mindset while delivering a seamless, Scandinavian travel experience. With growing experience comes expanding opportunity—from mixed-fleet flying and long-haul missions to instructor roles shaping future pilots, or leadership paths influencing SAS’s strategic direction.

  • Operate the E195 or A320 in full compliance with company SOPs, aircraft manuals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong situational awareness and CRM across all phases of flight.
  • Exercise sound judgement and timely decision-making in dynamic conditions.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the flight deck, cabin, operations, and ATC.
  • Manage workload and stress while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Contribute to a disciplined, learning-focused, and safety-driven cockpit culture.

🧰 Minimum requirements

  • Licences: EASA CPL, IR, MCC, ME
  • Medical: Class 1
  • English proficiency: ICAO ELP level 5 or higher
  • Flight time: 400+ hours on CS/FAR 25 aircraft
  • Turbine time: Minimum 400 hours
  • Right to work: Unrestricted right to live and work in the EU (visa sponsorship not provided)
  • Conduct & screening: Clean criminal record; must successfully complete background screening, a personal security interview, and alcohol & drug testing in accordance with aviation security regulations
  • Licence issuance: Licence preferably issued by Denmark, Sweden, or Norway; non-Scandinavian EASA licences are accepted but must be converted before course start
  • Type rating: Not required (training provided by SAS)
