Join National Airlines at the pointy end of our Boeing 747 and Airbus A330 fleet. As a Direct Entry Captain, you will lead long-range, international operations with a safety-first mindset—backed by comprehensive training for non‑type‑rated pilots.

🧭 The Mission

National Airlines Captains are overall responsible for the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of our B747 and A330 aircraft across a global network.

🧰 What You’ll Do

  • Command B747/A330 flights in accordance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the flight deck and cabin teams to deliver safe, on-time performance.
  • Exercise sound judgment in all phases of flight, from preflight planning through arrival and post‑flight.
  • Uphold National’s safety culture, including strict adherence to SOPs and SMS reporting.
  • Represent the airline professionally during international operations and interactions with authorities.

🌟 Minimum Requirements

  • Total Time: 5,000 hours.
  • Part 121 Time: 1,000 hours.
  • Command/SIC Experience: Minimum 1,000 hours PIC or SIC to qualify per FAR 121.436 (hours must be obtained under 14 CFR).
  • License: ATP (FAA). Note: An ATP issued with a “CIRC APCH—VMC Only” limitation is acceptable.
  • Medical: FAA First Class.
  • Type Rating: Not required on B747/A330 — training provided.

🧾 Additional Requirements

  • Permit: Hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Passport & Visas: Valid U.S. or foreign passport with required visas for international travel; passport must be valid for at least one year from application date. Foreign nationals must be able to obtain visas required to operate National Airlines flights.
  • Work Authorization: U.S.-based pilots must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Background & Compliance: Willing to undergo a 10-year background check including Pilot Records Database (PRD), DOT pre-employment drug testing, and Criminal History Record Check (CHRC).
  • Travel Readiness: Meet all entry/exit requirements for jurisdictions served by National Airlines, which may include valid visas and required vaccinations. Travel documents must remain up to date at all times, including during training and while on assignment.

  • Multiple type ratings and/or diverse aircraft experience.
  • Proven leadership in complex, international operations.
  • Strong CRM, decision-making, and communication skills.
