We’re seeking a type-rated captain who combines precision flying with calm leadership and exceptional teamwork.

✈️ About the Operation

SXM Airways, based at Princess Juliana International Airport (TNCM), operates charter services throughout the Caribbean with a fleet of four BN-2 Islanders. Building on our regional expertise, we are expanding into medevac operations with a Cessna Citation VII to deliver rapid, reliable, and compassionate patient transport across the islands.

🧭 What You’ll Do

  • Captain the Citation VII for time-sensitive medevac missions, ensuring safety, efficiency, and patient-centric operations.
  • Exercise sound judgement and decisive leadership in dynamic, sometimes austere environments across the island region.
  • Collaborate closely with medical teams, dispatch, maintenance, and ground handlers to deliver seamless end-to-end service.
  • Conduct thorough preflight planning, performance/weight-and-balance calculations, and risk assessments tailored to each mission.
  • Uphold SOPs, CRM, and safety protocols while promoting a positive, professional cockpit culture.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, company manuals, and documentation standards.

🧰 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total time: 3,000 hours
  • PIC time: 1,500 hours
  • Time in type (Citation VII/CE-650): 50 hours
  • Multi-engine: 500 hours
  • Turbine: 1,000 hours
  • Jet: 500 hours (multi-engine jet)
  • Type rating: Required; PIC on type required
  • License: ATPL (ICAO)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • ICAO English Level 4 or higher
  • No accidents or incidents in the last 5 years
