Dassault Falcon Jet is seeking a highly experienced Captain to join our Flight Operations team based in Teterboro, NJ. You’ll lead safe, efficient, and passenger-focused missions across domestic and international routes while upholding the highest standards of a premier corporate aviation operation.
🧭 The mission
As Captain in our Teterboro Flight Operations, you will serve as PIC on Falcon aircraft, ensuring uncompromising safety, regulatory compliance, and exceptional passenger service. You’ll lead the crew, coordinate with Flight Operations and Maintenance, and deliver seamless trips in a dynamic environment.
- Serve as Pilot in Command, exercising full responsibility for flight safety and decision-making.
- Plan and execute domestic and international missions, including performance, fuel, and weather analysis.
- Lead and mentor SICs and cabin crew; foster a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to FARs, company SOPs, SMS, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate pre- and post-flight activities with dispatch, maintenance, and ground services.
- Deliver a refined, client-centric experience for owners and passengers.
- Maintain currency, participate in required training, and successfully complete proficiency checks.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Minimum flight time: 3,000 hours total fixed-wing; 2,000 hours PIC.
- At least 1,000 hours as sole manipulator of controls in jet aircraft comparable to Falcons.
- Type ratings: Current type rating on one or more current-production Dassault Falcons; current Falcon type rating required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in corporate aviation.
- Minimum 1 year experience in DFJ Flight Operations, Teterboro.
- Minimum 400 hours in current-production Falcon aircraft as DFJ SIC.
- Minimum 50 hours in the specific Falcon type as DFJ SIC.
- Airline Transport Pilot certificate (ATP/ATPL).
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Thorough understanding of applicable FARs.
- Acceptable performance evaluations by senior captains.
- Recommendation by the Chief Pilot and approval by the Director of Flight Operations.
- Ability to manage domestic and international assignments with extended time away from home; schedule flexibility to meet operational needs.
