We’re seeking a proven, type-rated Dash 8 Q400 Captain to deliver safe, efficient, and passenger-focused operations on a permanent, direct-entry basis. If you bring strong command skills, disciplined airmanship, and a collaborative leadership style, we’d like to hear from you.

🧭 Minimum Qualifications

  • Total time: 2,500 hours minimum
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) in type: 500 hours on Dash 8/Q400
  • Flight time equivalency: Either 500 hrs PIC on Q400 or 1,500 hrs PIC on a heavy turboprop > 44,000 lbs MGTOW
  • Type rating: Dash 8/Q400 type rating required
  • License: Valid ATPL issued by TCCA
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
  • Health: COVID‑19 vaccination required where permitted by applicable law
  • Right to work: Able to work without employer visa sponsorship

Note: Pilots who do not meet every minimum may be considered based on overall experience and other qualifying factors.

  • Command Dash 8 Q400 operations from briefing to shutdown in full compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead a high-performing crew, modeling effective CRM, threat and error management, and a just culture of safety.
  • Exercise sound operational judgment on weather, performance, fuel, alternates, and dispatch considerations.
  • Mentor First Officers, supporting development, standardization, and professionalism on every sector.
  • Ensure on-time performance while maintaining the highest safety margins and customer service standards.
  • Maintain currency, complete recurrent training and checking, and uphold meticulous technical and administrative records.
