Dash 8 First Officer – No Type Rating Required

✈️ Role overview

As a Dash 8 First Officer, you will operate in a multi-crew environment, supporting safe, efficient, and on-time operations in accordance with company SOPs and Canadian regulatory standards. You’ll collaborate closely with your Captain and ground teams, applying strong CRM, checklist discipline, and a safety-first mindset on every leg.

🧭 What you’ll do

• Conduct thorough preflight preparation, performance calculations, and briefings.
• Execute normal, abnormal, and emergency procedures in line with SOPs.
• Maintain situational awareness and high standards of airmanship in all phases of flight.
• Practice proactive CRM and effective communication with flight and ground crews.
• Complete post-flight duties, documentation, and debriefs with accuracy.
• Participate in recurrent training and checking to maintain proficiency and compliance.

🧰 Minimum requirements

• TCCA credentials: Holds IATRA, or has completed SAMRA and SARON toward the Canadian ATPL.
• Medical: Valid Class 1 Medical.
• Language: ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 4 or higher.
• Education: High school diploma completed.
• Security: Able to obtain and maintain a RAIC.
• Travel: Holds a current passport at time of hire; able to travel to the United States without restrictions; able to obtain and maintain a C‑1/D crewmember transit visa.
• Type rating: Not required — full Dash 8 training provided.
• Work authorization: Visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates must already be eligible to work and hold TCCA licenses.

🌟 Preferred experience

• Canadian ATPL (issued or eligible).
• Two-crew, multi-engine turbine time.

Applicants meeting preferred criteria will be prioritized; however, strong NTR candidates are encouraged to apply.

🧪 Training and progression

• Company-provided Dash 8 type training and line indoctrination.
• Ongoing recurrent training and checking to maintain standards.
• Opportunity to build substantial multi-crew turbine experience on the DHC‑8.
