We’re seeking experienced First Officers ready to take the next step toward Captain or Trainer roles within our mission-focused Dash 8 surveillance fleet. As a Dash 8 First Officer in our special-missions operation, you’ll combine disciplined airline-standard flying with the real-world impact of surveillance and patrol work across Australia. You’ll operate modern, sensor-equipped aircraft alongside a professional crew, delivering safe, reliable outcomes on every mission.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the Dash 8 in IFR multi-crew environments, adhering to SOPs and risk-based decision making.
- Support surveillance missions, integrating aircraft handling with mission systems while maintaining the highest safety standards.
- Execute multi-sector days, coastal and overland patrol profiles, and occasional remote operations.
- Participate in planning, briefing/debriefing, and post-mission reporting.
- Contribute to a performance and learning culture, with opportunities to mentor and progress.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Total time: 500 hours minimum.
- Licence: CASA CPL with IR and ME.
- Medical: Class 1.
- English Proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher.
- ATPL Human Factors: Completed.
- Security: Eligibility for both an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and an Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA Baseline).
- Type Rating: Not required — comprehensive Dash 8 training provided.
