Dash 8 First Officer – Permanent (NTR Welcome)

🧭 What you’ll do

• Operate as First Officer alongside the Captain, in compliance with SOPs and CARs.
• Lead thorough preflight planning: weather, NOTAMs, fuel, W&B, and performance calculations.
• Execute IFR procedures with disciplined multi-crew coordination and CRM.
• Manage checklists, monitor aircraft systems, and maintain strong flight watch and situational awareness.
• Support safe ground operations, including de/anti-icing coordination and efficient turnarounds.
• Uphold a safety-first culture and deliver professional, customer-focused service.

🧰 Minimum requirements

• Total Time: 1,500 hours
• IFR Time: 500 hours
• Licences: IATRA, IR, ME
• Open to Licence Holders: TCCA
• Medical: Class 1
• Language Proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher
• Travel & Security: Valid passport; eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC; able to travel to/from the United States without restrictions; no Transport Canada violations or suspensions

Non-type-rated applicants are welcome — Dash 8 type training provided.

🌟 Preferred experience

• Current/previous Dash 8 or other turboprop/jet type rating
• Multi-crew, multi-engine, and IFR experience
• Turbine time in 703/704/705 or military operations
• Flight Instructor candidates considered with 1,000+ hours total time
