Dash 8 Captain (Q‑Series) — Non‑Type Rated Welcome

Step into the left seat of our Dash 8 Q‑Series and lead safe, reliable operations as Captain. If you’re a decisive aviator with strong multi‑crew turbine experience, we’d love to hear from you. Non‑Type Rated candidates are encouraged to apply — comprehensive type rating training is provided.

🧭 What you’ll do

  • Command Dash 8 Q‑Series operations with uncompromising safety, professionalism, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Lead and mentor the flight deck team, fostering effective CRM and performance under varied operational conditions.
  • Exercise sound judgment in changing weather and terrain environments, prioritizing on‑time, efficient flights.
  • Ensure regulatory and company compliance across commercial operations and standards.
  • Champion an excellent passenger experience through clear communication and calm, confident leadership.

🧰 What you bring (minimums)

  • Total time: 3,000 hours
  • Pilot‑in‑Command (PIC): 500 hours
  • Multi‑engine: 500 hours
  • Turbine: 500 hours
  • License: ATPL (TCCA)
  • Medical: Class 1
  • Language proficiency: ICAO ELP Level 4 or higher

Alternate qualifying pathway: 5,000 hours total flying time including 500 hours PIC in 703/704 operations. 705 experience is highly regarded.

🌟 Preferred experience

  • Dash 8 time (strong asset).
  • Northern/remote flying experience (asset).
  • Recent multi‑crew turbine experience and strong SOP discipline.

🧾 Certifications & compliance

  • RAIC: Must be able to hold a Restricted Area Identification Card.
  • Passport: Valid passport required.
  • Languages: Bilingual written and spoken French/English; Inuktitut an asset.

🎓 Training & progression

  • Non‑Type Rated applicants are welcome — Dash 8 Q‑Series type rating training provided.
  • Ongoing recurrent training to keep you sharp, compliant, and confidently mission‑ready.
