Launch your airline career on the CRJ flight deck. This non–type-rated cadet pathway equips driven aviators to build experience, complete ATP or R-ATP requirements, and prepare for the right seat with structured training and support.
🧭 Your Mission
Join as a CRJ Cadet Pilot to accelerate your journey toward the regional jet flight deck. You’ll sharpen your skills, meet ATP/R‑ATP requirements, and prepare for CRJ operations with training provided for the aircraft type when you transition to line flying.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Current FAA PPL.
- Must be a current flight student or an active CFI who is instructing.
- No more than three check ride failures.
- No accident or incident determined by the NTSB to be due to pilot/aviator negligence.
- Ability to obtain a First Class Medical.
- Ability to obtain a valid passport.
- Ability to obtain an FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
- Type rating: Not required — training provided.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
🕒 Hours & ATP Pathways
- Must be able to meet the necessary hours and qualifications under ATP or R‑ATP requirements.
- Cadets eligible for an R‑ATP (1000 or 1250 hours) must have no more than 700 hours total time at application.
- Cadets requiring a full ATP (1500 hours) must have no more than 1000 hours total time at application.
Note: Hour thresholds help ensure sufficient runway to participate meaningfully in the cadet phase before transitioning to the CRJ flight deck.
