Step onto the flight deck of the Boeing 787 and help deliver safe, smooth long-haul operations from our Amsterdam base. This is a permanent opportunity for EASA-licensed First Officers, including non-type-rated pilots, with full B787 training provided. 🧭 What you’ll do
As a First Officer on the Boeing 787, you’ll work within a high-performance, safety-first flight deck team. You’ll operate international routes, execute SOPs and company policies, and deliver excellent airmanship, CRM, and decision-making under varying operational conditions.
- Operate the B787 in accordance with company SOPs and regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with the Captain and cabin crew to ensure safe, efficient operations
- Prepare and brief for flights, manage normal/abnormal procedures, and monitor aircraft performance
- Adapt to a highly variable roster and respond to standby duties within proximity requirements
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Licence: EASA Frozen ATPL (A) with valid IR and ME
- Medical: EASA Class 1
- Experience: Minimum 500 hours on multi-crew jet aircraft
- English: ICAO ELP level 5 or higher
- Type rating: Not required (NTR)
🌟 ZFTT eligibility (if not currently B787 type-rated)
If you are not B787 type-rated, you may be eligible for ZFTT in accordance with FCL.730.A if you have:
- Completed a minimum of 500 hours flight time; or
- Completed 100 route sectors on a multi-pilot turbo-jet aeroplane certificated to the standards of CS-25 or equivalent airworthiness code; or
- Completed 100 route sectors on a multi-pilot turboprop aeroplane with a maximum certificated take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certificated passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers.
Training conducted in accordance with FCL.730.A.
🛫 Additional requirements
- Passport: Valid for unrestricted worldwide travel and at least 6 months beyond your training start date
- Security clearance: Must pass aviation security background checks and meet all EU regulatory requirements for flight crew clearance (this may impact eligibility if you do not have long-term residence or work rights in the EU)
- Right to work: Visa sponsorship is not provided; you must hold the right to live and work as required for operations from the EU/Netherlands
- Standby proximity: Able to report to Schiphol within 60 minutes when on standby
- Rostering: Variable roster with no fixed pattern; commuting contracts are not offered
