🧭 The Mission
As a First Officer, you will directly impact on-time, safe, and reliable operations—helping ensure every customer entrusted to PSA by American Airlines arrives safely and with confidence. You’ll fly the CRJ series as Second-in-Command, uphold the highest safety standards, and contribute to a cockpit culture defined by professionalism, clear communication, and mutual respect.
🧰 What You’ll Do
- Serve as Second-in-Command (SIC) in accordance with PSA’s Standardization Program.
- Maintain strict compliance with all Company and FAA procedures, directives, and regulations for each flight.
- Immediately call the Captain’s attention to any deviation from regulations, Company policy, or safe operating practices.
- Assist the Captain with preflight planning and preparation as appropriate.
- Conduct a thorough visual preflight walk‑around before each flight and a visual post‑flight inspection after each flight.
- Assume secondary responsibility for all Captain duties; in the event of Captain incapacitation, assume full PIC responsibilities.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Captain.

📏 Minimum Qualifications
- Total Time: 750+ hours (must meet R-ATP eligibility and hour requirements).
- Certificates: FAA Commercial with Instrument and Multi-Engine.
- Must be a current CFI, actively instructing.
- ATP: Eligible for R-ATP.
- Medical: First-Class.
- Passport: Valid passport (or ability to obtain).
- FCC: FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit (or ability to obtain).
- Type Rating: Not required; training provided on the CRJ series.
- Licenses Accepted: FAA only.
- Visa Sponsorship: Not provided; must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

🏙️ Work Environment & Physical Demands
You’ll operate in a dynamic flight deck and airport environment and use standard office/learning tools for training, briefing, and reporting.
- Regularly required to talk and hear; frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
