Contour Airlines is seeking an accomplished Captain to join our Citation XLS fleet operating under Part 135 on-demand regulations. Based in Smyrna, TN, you’ll set the tone for safety, service, and professionalism while delivering an exceptional experience to every passenger. 🧭 What you’ll do
- Exercise PIC authority and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism on every flight.
- Conduct all phases of Part 135 flight operations, including planning, execution, and post-flight duties.
- Deliver polished, customer-first service, representing Contour with tact and courtesy.
- Maintain aircraft readiness in coordination with maintenance and operations teams.
- Lead by example—fostering teamwork, mentoring crew, and upholding company policies and FAA regulations.
🧰 What you’ll bring
- Minimum qualifications
- At least 23 years of age; legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Current, valid passport; able to travel internationally without restrictions.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding); Spanish a plus.
- Hold a valid U.S. ATP certificate with CE-560XL type rating.
- Current First-Class Medical and English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE).
- No excessive check ride failures; no prior aviation-related accidents or incidents.
- Flight time minimums
- 3,500 total time
- 2,000 PIC
- 2,500 multi-engine land
- 1,500 multi-engine PIC
- 250 instrument
- 2,000 turbine
- Professional qualities
- Polished interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.
- Confident communicator—clear, composed, and professional in every interaction.
- Self-motivated team player who can work independently and motivate others.
- Compliance & physical requirements
- Pass DOT-required pre-employment drug screening; participate in FAA/Company random drug & alcohol testing.
- Pass 10-year employment history background check, TSA criminal history and fingerprint checks.
- Able to lift 75 lbs routinely with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Adhere to OSHA, EPA, state, and federal safety requirements.
