Citation Sovereign Captain – San Antonio (KSAT) | NTR Welcome
✈️ Lead the Flight as our Citation Sovereign Captain
Join a safety-first, service-driven flight operation based in San Antonio. As Captain on the Citation Sovereign, you’ll lead a professional multi-crew team, deliver a polished passenger experience, and operate to the highest standards of a corporate flight department. Non-type rated pilots are welcome—type training is provided.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Serve as Pilot-in-Command of the Citation Sovereign, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations across domestic and occasional international missions.
- Lead a professional multi-crew cockpit, model strong CRM, and mentor crewmembers.
- Own end-to-end flight preparation: performance planning, weight and balance, weather, NOTAMs, fuel strategy, and risk assessments.
- Uphold exacting standards of passenger care, discretion, and on-time performance.
- Maintain aircraft and pilot readiness: checklists, documentation, training currency, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate seamlessly with dispatch, maintenance, and customer teams to deliver a smooth operation.
🧰 Minimum Qualifications
- Certificates: ATP (FAA)
- Medical: First-Class (Class 1)
- Total Time: 3,000 hours
- Pilot-in-Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
- Turbine: 1,000 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Night: 300 hours
- Experience operating in a multi-crew environment
- Current or previous qualification in turbojet aircraft
- Permits & Documents: Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit; valid passport (international travel); valid driver’s license
- Records: Clean FAA, DOT, and DOJ records with no violations or deviations within the past seven years
- Location: Ability to reside within one hour of KSAT or relocate accordingly
- Flexibility: Willing to travel frequently (domestic and occasional international); available for weekends and holidays as operational needs require
Note: Type rating not required—training provided for qualified candidates.
🌟 Preferred Experience
- Type rating in the Citation Sovereign (CE-680)
- Minimum three years of corporate/business aviation experience
📍 Where You’ll Be
San Antonio, Texas (KSAT) is your home base. Expect frequent domestic travel with occasional international trips in line with mission needs.
