Citation Sovereign Captain – Home-Based (Type Rating Provided)
✈️ Citation Sovereign Captain
Join a premier management company for a unique, owner-focused captaincy on the Cessna Citation Sovereign. This role blends the personal touch of flying for a great owner with the backing, standards, and stability of a top-tier flight department. Most pilots are home-based and airline to/from the aircraft for each rotation.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Serve as PIC for domestic and international missions under Part 91 and Part 135.
- Plan and execute flights, including performance, weight and balance, fuel, routing, and alternates.
- Ensure full compliance with FAA, ICAO, and international operating regulations.
- Deliver a professional, owner-focused experience while collaborating closely with crew, dispatch, and maintenance.
- Maintain currency of manuals and EFB systems (iPad), and complete required reports and records.
- Uphold a proactive safety culture, training standards, and company SMS practices.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total time: 3,000+ hours
- PIC time: 750+ hours
- Multi-engine: 1,000+ hours
- Instrument: 150+ hours
- License: ATP (FAA)
- Medical: Class 1
- Valid passport; willing and able to travel internationally.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of all FAR Part 135 and Part 91 requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and international flight operations regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and advanced multitasking abilities.
- Computer proficiency: word processing, iPad/EFB, email, and web/mobile applications.
🌟 Preferred profile
- 500+ MEL PIC
- Part 135 experience
- Citation Sovereign type rating (CE-680) preferred
- Highly qualified Captains with comparable experience are encouraged to apply.
📍 Location and travel
Home-based position with company-supported airline travel to and from the aircraft for each rotation. Texas base preferred.
