✈️ About the Role
As a Captain on the Cessna SkyCourier (C408), you will lead safe, efficient operations in diverse and often remote conditions. You’ll exercise sound judgment, champion a strong safety culture, and deliver excellent operational performance while working closely with dispatch, maintenance, and ground teams.
🧭 What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute flights with meticulous attention to weather, performance, weight & balance, and fuel strategy.
- Operate the C408 to high professional standards, adhering to SOPs, checklists, and CRM best practices.
- Manage risk in dynamic and remote environments, including cold-weather operations.
- Lead by example—mentor crewmembers, coordinate with ground personnel, and maintain clear, concise communication.
- Complete accurate documentation, reports, and post-flight debriefs.
🧰 Minimum Requirements
- Total Time: 2,000 hours
- Alaska Experience: 500 hours or one season of Alaska flying/living experience
- License: CPL (FAA)
- Type Rating: Not required (training provided)
- Medical: Class 2
- Other: Non-smoker
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Total Time: 3,000+ hours
- Certificate: ATP
- Alaska Experience: 1,000 hours or two seasons of Alaska flying/living experience
- Aircraft Experience: Prior C408 flight experience
