Join Alaska Seaplanes and help connect Southeast Alaska’s remote communities year-round. As a Permanent IFR C208 Pilot, you’ll fly single-pilot IFR/VFR on both scheduled and on-demand routes, delivering exceptional safety and customer service across 14 breathtaking communities from our base in Juneau.
🧭 What you’ll do
- Operate the Cessna 208 Caravan safely and efficiently as single-pilot in both IFR and VFR environments.
- Conduct scheduled and on-demand flights serving 14 Southeast Alaska communities year-round.
- Execute thorough preflight planning, weather analysis, performance calculations, and risk assessments.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while representing Alaska Seaplanes’ safety-first culture.
- Coordinate closely with dispatch, maintenance, and ground teams to ensure on-time, reliable operations.
- Maintain meticulous logs and comply with all company procedures and FARs.
🧰 Minimum qualifications
- Total Time: 1,500 hours minimum and meets FAR 135.243(c) requirements.
- Licenses: FAA CPL and CFI.
- Medical: Class 1.
- Type Rating: Not required — training provided.
- Authorization: Open to FAA certificate holders; visa sponsorship not provided.
🌟 Preferred experience
- 100+ hours in type (Cessna 208 Caravan).
- Previous Alaska flying experience and familiarity with mountain/coastal weather.
- Strong customer service mindset in a community-focused operation.
